Part time NHS courier Andy Macpherson has been inspired to cycle 100 miles to raise money to research a severe brain condition after meeting a sufferer at work.
Andy, 58, was working for NHS Hertfordshire Partnership Trust when he met Nikki.
Nikki has Cavernoma, a cerebral malformation, and has already suffered six strokes because of the condition.
Inspired by her positive attitude, Andy, of Leaford Crescent, took part in the 100-mile Olympic bike race on Sunday.
