Repairs and restoration is now complete in a street in Watford, including improvements to an ornamental horse box.

The Leavesden Road Horse Trough has been repaired and cleaned and the lettering re-painted.

A new tree has been planted on the street and crown lifting has taken place to the existing trees.

In addition, a new street name plate has been installed and the concrete bollards have been replaced with black painted metal bollards.

Leggatts councillor Asif Khan, who worked on the project with fellow Labour councillor Anne Joynes, praised the transformation.

He added: "Granite sets have been installed around street furniture and a bench has been relocated and the uneven pavements have been resurfaced."
