Views are being sought on proposals by Hertfordshire County Council to improve the look, layout and safety of the area around Clarendon Road in Watford.

Feedback is welcome from residents and businesses on the proposed scheme, which includes: signal-controlled pedestrian crossings, a new cycleway heading north along Clarendon Road, wider footpaths, tree and hedgerow planting and feature lighting.

Terry Douris, cabinet member for Highways, said: "We’d like to hear what people think of our proposals. Our aim is to improve safety and facilities for pedestrians and improve the look of the area.

"Please take the time to fill in one of our feedback forms so we can take your views into account before finalising the scheme."

Residents and businesses in the local area will receive feedback forms in the post. The consultation closes on Wednesday, August 13.

There will be a wider public consultation at a later date.

All feedback received will be collated and used to help us develop a preferred option for the scheme.
