A one month old pony has been stolen from a stable in Aldenham last night.

Cecil, who is a Shetland pony, was stolen from a stable in Summerhouse Lane between 7pm yesterday and 7am this morning.

PC John Phelan, who is investigating the burglary, said: "Cecil is very small and would be very distressed to be away from his mother and the safe environment the stable offers.

"Likewise, Cecil’s owner is absolutely distraught with worry. Cecil is a very distinctive pony and I would urge anyone who believes they know of his location to contact me immediately.

Watford Observer:

"Anyone who remembers seeing anything unusual or suspicious between yesterday evening and this morning in the area of Summerhouse Lane should also contact me as they may have information that can assist our investigation."
