A teenage girl has reported being sexually assaulted in a Watford nightclub.

The 18-year-old victim said she was leaving Oceana at around 1.30am on Tuesday, August 5, when she was assaulted.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses and information about the incident, which they said occurred as she was walking down the staircase to leave the club.

Detective Constable Liz Heath said: "I would appeal to anyone who was leaving the club at around 1.30am and who has any information which could assist the investigation to contact me. At some point prior to the incident occurring a man is believed to have grabbed the victim by the arm, if you saw this I would also like to hear from you."

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C1/14/3682.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, you could be entitled to a reward.
