More than two hundred people went to a play day event in Leavesden last week.
Leavesden Children’s Centre, High Road, held a play day on Wednesday, August 6, as part of the Playday- a nationwide event which was set up to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.
Organisers said that 211 adults and children attended the event, which included a visit from a fire engine, giving children a chance to sit in it.
Children were kept busy with a bouncy castle, outdoor play and face painting while they had the chance to put their culinary skills on show at a fruit kebab stall.
Families also enjoyed stalls from the libraries, Hertfordshire Constabulary, Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service, Watford Community Housing Trust and Shining Stars preschool.
