A woman was taken to hospital after being slashed with a Stanley knife during a dispute in a South Oxhey convenience store on Saturday.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was taken to Watford General Hospital, after being involved in a confrontation at Nisa, in St Andrew’s Road.

Police were called to the store at 6.30pm after an argument erupted between two women.

One woman then allegedly left the shop and came back with a friend and a fight broke out between the three.

Two women sustained injuries from a Stanley knife and a woman in her 40s was taken to the Vicarage Road hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are investigating what happened on Saturday and are appealing for witnesses to call Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
