A 40-year-old man in a motorised wheelchair who was found in a busy Watford road has been charged with a string of offences, including being drunk and disorderly in a public place and assaulting a police officer.
Paul Bunting, of Ferryhills Close, was also charged with possession of heroin and failing to provide a specimen for analysis after the incident on Beechen Grove yesterday lunchtime.
Mr Bunting was arrested at 12.35pm yesterday after he was reportedly blocking traffic on the road.
He has been bailed and is due to appear at West Herts Magistrates Court on September 9.
