Police are investigating a suspected stabbing after a young man was found injured in West Watford.

Hertfordshire Constabulary was called to reports a man had collapsed in Croxley View at 4.42pm today.

The casualty, reportedly in his late teens, was rushed to Watford General Hospital in a “critical” state.

Since then police have cordoned off a large section of Croxley View, near the junction with Tolpits Lane, and forensic officers have been seen working near the bus stop opposite Westfield Academy.

A small cordon has also been set up outside McColls convenience store, in Tolpits Lane. Police officers are currently conducting door to door enquiries in the area.
