Police are investigating a suspected stabbing after a young man was found injured in West Watford.

Hertfordshire Constabulary was called to reports a man had collapsed in Croxley View at 4.42pm today.

The casualty, reportedly in his late teens, was rushed to Watford General Hospital in a “critical” state.

Since then police have cordoned off a large section of Croxley View, near the junction with Tolpits Lane, and forensic officers have been seen working near the bus stop opposite Westfield Academy.

A small cordon has also been set up outside McColls convenience store, in Tolpits Lane. Police officers are currently conducting door to door enquiries in the area.

Anyone who has any information about the incident can contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via its 101 non-emergency number.
