A teenager stabbed in West Watford has died in hospital.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has launched a murder investigation after the 18-year-old, named locally as Aqeel Khan, was found collapsed in Croxley View at around 4.40pm today.
He was rushed to Watford General Hospital in a critical state but died from his wounds a short time later.
Detective Inspector Jon McAdam said: “This is a tragic death and our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very sad time. This will of course be of concern to the local community and I’d reassure people that we will conduct a full and thorough investigation into what happened.
“I would like appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened or has information which could assist the investigation to make contact with police. You can provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
A 21 year old man from Watford has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
