An 18 year-old man from Watford has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Hertfordshire Constabulary were called on Monday, August 25 after reports that a 16 year-old received "slight injuries to his upper left arm" after an alleged assault by a group of men on the path, which runs between Furze Close, Ashridge Drive and Muirfield Road, in South Oxhey.

Officers are currently trying to trace a woman who was walking her dog as they believe that she may have witnessed the incident. They also believe that she was wearing a pink jumper.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Steve Mason said: "Thankfully the victim only received slight injuries. I am keen to trace those responsible as soon as possible and would appeal for the woman who was out walking her dog at the time to contact me as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Mason via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference C3/14/942.
