A pensioner says she is "heartbroken" after her ornamental meerkat was stolen from her garden.
She is appealing to the thieves to return the two-foot high statue to her residence in Meadow Cross flats, Bushey.
The meerkat, which was holding binoculars and had a solar light in its back, was described as "very cute" by its owner.
She said: "Anyone could have stolen it. I’m heartbroken. I bought it from Morrisons because I like meerkats, I like the adverts. I’m very upset about it really. I was hoping whoever took it could return it to the manager of Meadow Cross flats."
