The Golden Lion, in Estcourt Road, Watford, is set to open at 6pm on Friday, September 5, after major refurbishment.
The pub, formerly Druids, was closed for four weeks while the work was carried out. It was last called the Golden lion more than 20 years ago.
Publican John Harrington said: "The pub looks fantastic and I can’t believe the transformation.
"The investment will offer new facilities, an amazing extended covered patio area and comfortable and modern décor.
"The team and I look forward to the reopening and welcoming some old and new faces back to the pub to celebrate the new look with us."
