Firefighters were called to a lorry fire on the M25 this afternoon.

Three fire crews were called at 12.18pm after a refuse lorry reported smoke coming out the back of the vehicle on the entry slip road at junction 17 (Maple Cross) on the clockwise M25.

The fire was put out using a hose reel and is being treated as accidental.

One crew from Rickmansworth, one from Watford and one from Garston attended the scene.

The slip road is open.
