Two women were assaulted as they walked through Watford in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Hertfordshire Constabulary was called at 2.25am on Saturday, August 30 following reports of an assault in Rickmansworth Road.
It is reported that a 20-year-old woman was walking home with a female friend when they were approached by another woman who became argumentative.
Natalie Dearman, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: "The woman then assaulted the two friends, causing them both to receive scratches to the elbow and face.
"The woman then walked off towards Park Avenue."
The suspect is described as having blonde hair and being of broad build.
Police are appealing for anyone who has any information about the assault to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101, quoting crime reference number C1/14/4063.
