Intu Watford Shopping Centre is holding a food festival on Saturday and Sunday with a stall collecting for Watford Foodbank.

Intu Watford Great Taste will offer cupcake and cookie decorating workshops for the kids from 11am to 4pm each day.

Some of the centre's food retailers, including Marks and Spencer, Lakeland and Starbucks, will also be giving out free food samples and holding food demonstrations throughout the weekend too.

Entertainment, such as a candy floss man, a giant teacup and roller-skating fruit, will be around the stalls entertaining the crowds and there will be a chance for customers to make donations to the Watford Foodbank, Watford’s first community-wide foodbank dedicated to feeding people in a crisis.

A donation-station will be set up next to customer services until Sunday September 21, accepting non-perishable goods.

Andrew Tranter, project leader at the Watford Foodbank, said: "We are delighted that the team at intu Watford will be showing their support at this event and would like to thank all generous donators in advance for their help to our cause.

"All donations made during this time will be used to help those in need in our local community. It really is a great way to give something back."
