A paralympian from Bushey opened a new leisure centre gym at the weekend.
Derek Derenalagi, who cut the ribbon to open Bushey Grove Leisure Centre’s new £250,000 gym on Saturday, is in training for the Invictus Games this week.
The discus thrower and former soldier said: "I’m very excited to continue my training here, I’ll be back in on Monday to prepare for the Invictus Games this week then I have the World Championships in 2015 in Qatar then it’s the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016.
"I really want to thank Bushey Grove and Hertsmere Leisure for allowing me to train here and supporting my training."
