A South Oxhey breast cancer survivor has been picked to take part in a charity fashion show in London.

Jill Padayachee, 45, will be walking the catwalk for Breast Cancer Care at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Wednesday, October 1.

Jill is one of 24 men and women who have received a breast cancer diagnosis and will model in the show.

Designers including Stella McCartney, Temperley London and Jenny Packham as well as high street stores are set to be featured, and Jill has already had a styling consultation with fashion correspondent Hilary Alexander.

London Fashion Week co-ordinator Lesley Goring is also lending a hand with the look of the show, with Sassoon Salons styling the model's hair and Estée Lauder doing their make-up.

The glamorous event seeks to prove it's possible to look and feel fabulous despite the brutal effects of breast cancer.

Jill is delighted to be taking part.

The Pastures resident said: "I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the Breast Cancer Care’s fashion show this year. It’s a lovely way to showcase women and men who have bounced back after their incredibly challenging journeys and for them to say I’m still here and that breast cancer doesn’t define me."

Jill is raising money through the Pink Pout Selfie - Kiss Cancer Goodbye Campaign and managed to get Bird of A Feather celebrity Linda Robson to pout and donate.

The details of the campaign are on Facebook and people can donate at https://www.justgiving.com/jillybeanpinkpout/.
