Dog owners and their four-legged friends will have the opportunity to attend a free dog chipping event this weekend.
The event, which is being organised by the Dogs Trust, will be held at King George Recreation Ground, Bushey, from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.
PCSO Esther Ainsley said: "Microchipping will soon be compulsory for all dog owners. It has many benefits including being a deterrent to dog theft and allows identification of dogs in properties in emergency situations so that dogs and owners can be moved and reunited more quickly.
"This is a great opportunity to get your dog chipped for free. It can save a lot of time and hassle as well as expense."
