Allotment holders in Bushey are being encouraged to attend an event designed to prevent crime.
Set up by Hertfordshire Constabulary, Allotment Watch will give allotment holders tips on avoiding crime, including theft and criminal damage.
The three events are scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 14, at the Windmill Lane at 10am, Merryhill plot at 11.30am and at Finch Lane plot at 1pm.
PCSO Esther Ainsley said: "Why not come along and join Allotment Watch? As a member, you will receive email messages about any allotment-related crime trends that are happening and useful crime prevention advice."
She said: "It is about working together to find a long-term solution to dealing with thefts of gardening equipment and tools. We want to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and restore a sense of community spirit."
If you are unable to attend but would like to join up, contact PCSOs Carole Bull or Esther Ainsley on 01707 354192 - this is their radio and it is an automated service. You will need to say their names and they will contact you when they are next on duty.
