The Watford Gambian community is collecting for equipment to protect people in the Gambia, Africa, from contracting the deadly ebola virus.

The killer virus has affected a number of countries in the continent, but has yet to reach Gambia.

However, the community has great concern for Gambia citizens and are doing their best to provide people there with soaps, sanitizers and gloves as a means of preventive measures.

The items will be distributed to health centres, the ebola team and places of gathering to help to reduce the spread of the virus.

The community is kindly requesting donations of the materials.

To donate contact Ebou Jallow at Fade Masters, 85 Market Street, or call 07718060956.
