A bowel cancer charity is looking for runners to take part in this year’s Abbots Langley Tough Ten.

Beating Bowel Cancer want people to run either 1.5k, 3k, 5k or 10k on Sunday, October 5, to raise money for the charity, which will then go towards helping people with bowel cancer.

The route this year is set to see runners start at Manor House Gardens, Gallows Hill Lane, before they go out of the village via the High Street towards Bedmond.

They will then turn left onto Toms Lane and finally reach Gallows Hill, where they will head for the finish line.

Community fundraiser at Beating Bowel Cancer, Leanne Sinclair, said: "This is an opportunity for people to get involved in a local event and raise money for charity at the same time. Everyone who chooses to fundraise for Beating Bowel Cancer, will be given a charity t-shirt or running vest plus some training hints and tips."
