Runnin On Empty - Back Before Elvis?

The blog titles changed and I probably have a few more grey hairs hidden under this pink gelled mop, but everything else is pretty much the same . I still have M.E, Fibromyalgia  and a host of other illnesses that I seem to be gathering along the way, but thankfully my humour remains….just.. and  I’m looking forward to sharing Friday mornings with you once again and the antics of my week laid bare just as it happens, alongside local and global news.

But I thought this week I’d just ease us both in gently & introduce myself to any newbies…"Hi"    and do a quick catch up of what  I’ve been up to over the last four years so everyone’s up to speed.  I say quick catch up because if I went into detail you’d be hanging baubles and stuffing turkey before I was even half way through.  So I’ll reel some of it off in one deep breath..ready?....and inhale…

Released an album, created a website, lost ten special people,  released  a second track to raise M.E awareness, made a slideshow video involving members of the M.E community,  Twitter followed by legendary hip hopster Darryl DMC Mcdaniels (Run Dmc),  Regularly played by Nia Visser on VIBE107.6,  had a cancer scare where my torso grew to massooooove alien burst out proportions  & had to have major surgery including removing all my lady bits, which meant  “hallo instant menopause”  turned out it wasn’t cancer  it was a complex mass,  hurrah ! But it had squashed all my organs, Booooooo!

Ok STOP!...& breathe…I’ve just glanced across the room and noted mums gone blue and passed out which has made me realise I lied about the one breath thing…two…….you’re gonna need two. For those not yet unconscious, if you’re ready to continue?...inhale

I saw the white tunnel thingy, said “Hi” to god,  released a track to raise awareness  for  Bristol Womens  Crisis Centre & the young  peeps who self harm.  Had the awesome Minnie Birch feature on a track,  Joined  the Lets Do It For ME team, Popped into BBC Introducing to  be interviewed by Gareth Lloydd, released an old skool instrumental called Scratch N Sniff & produced the video for it,  designed some T-shirts & Hoodies called Runnin On Empty where all profit goes to charity, half to Invest In ME, half to other charities & good causes,  Lost all feeling in my left hand side meaning I spent three months clip clopping  around like a horse  undergoing  MRI’s, ultrasounds and other prodding & poking procedures, started writing a book, Twitter followed by the beautiful & newly wed Kerry Katona, had 11 secs of a song placed in a British movie,   & ranted and continue to rant about  Politian’s, Councillors & the demise of our wonderful town ………

Oh Oh,  I’ve just heard  a thud  next door, think my neighbours keeled over too, only confirming that as timing goes I would be rubbish at  leading a team of underwater divers, but its ok, I’ve finished so you can all exhale now.

As for next week I’m back at the hospital  still trying to sort out the aftermath of the surgery  from  two years ago & the fact that I’m struggling to breathe, I wouldn’t bother but  I’ve found breathing comes in quite handy .

So…. all caught up?  Good,  next week we can start properly, so meet you here same time with a cuppa  & the custard creams. Right,  I’m off with the smelling salts to revive the mother & check on the neighbour….oh  it’s good to be back.
