Watford's Golden Lion pub has re-opened its doors following a £200,000 investment.
The extensive refurbishment has seen an extension of the patio area and has created four more jobs.
Manager Joanne Thomas gave Richard Harrington MP a tour of the Estcourt Road premises and also invited him to pour a pint behind the bar.
Landlord John Harrington said: "The re-launch has been a huge success, it’s been busy and we have received positive feedback from a lot of customers.
"The local residents seem to love everything about the new look and feel, with many commentating that it feels very welcoming."
MP Richard Harrington said: "Pubs are at the heart of our community and it is important that we protect them, so local investments like this are very welcome, as are national efforts such as the Government’s action on beer duty which has taken 8p off every pint."
