Four new police community support officers (PCSOs) have joined the Rickmansworth beat.

The Rickmansworth team covers Rickmansworth Central, Chorleywood, Money Hill, Sarratt, Croxley Green, Mill End and Maple Cross.

Former special constable Aaron Smith, who will be patrolling Croxley Green, said: "I always had joining the police in the back of my mind as I look to be a good role model to the younger generation and I always like to help and reassure elderly people."

PCSO Aristie Wright, covering Chorleywood used to work as a fitness instructor, dance and swimming teacher.

She said: "Although I developed a good working relationship with the community prior to joining the constabulary, I wanted to engage with the community more and on a professional level," she said.

"I aim to be an approachable and visible presence, provide public reassurance and do all I can to keep my local community safe.

"I am very much looking forward to meeting the residents of Chorleywood and addressing and dealing with their concerns to achieve great public satisfaction."

Jamie Fannon-Hall, who was previously a special constable for three-and-a-half years, will be the second new officer patrolling Chorleywood.

He said: "I joined to be a PCSO to further my career with the police. The main issue I will be tackling will be anti-social behaviour, working with the parish council to maintain the low levels of crime and ASB in Chorleywood."

Devlin Smith, who will be covering Mill End and Maple Cross, used to work for British Gas after studying biology at university.

He said: "I’ve always enjoyed helping my community through volunteer work as well as coaching various sports."

"The PCSO role appealed to me as I can meet new people every day while helping the general public solve their problems.

"I hope to work closely with local organisations to understand and solve the issues affecting people in these areas. I aim to tackle anti-social behaviour, including underage drinking, as well as being a visible presence in the community."
