Police and paramedics attended an address in Leavesden this afternoon after an elderly man collapsed in his home.
An air ambulance was called in to assist crews at the scene in Forest Road shortly after 3pm.
The man was taken to Watford General Hospital by land ambulance in a "critical condition".
Police attended on request of the ambulance service to help paramedics in the air ambulance, which landed in Cassiobury Park, get to the scene.
