Labour leader Ed Miliband spoke about Watford General Hospital in his party conference speech yesterday.
The MP for Doncaster North described his visit there earlier this year, saying he had used the experience to learn more about what really happens in UK hospitals and in the health service.
Antony Tiernan, spokesman for Watford General, said: "We are very proud to hear Ed Miliband praising our team at Watford Hospital during his speech."
Matt Turmaine, Labour's parliamentary candidate for Watford, said: "It's clear to me that Watford will do best under Labour.
"Our policies will work for everyone, we're fighting for a better future for us all, as One Nation.
"Not divided and fearful under the Tories and Lib Dems, where only the few benefit."
One of the six pledges Mr Miliband put forward yesterday was to invest in more doctors and nurses.
The other pledges revolved around home ownership, apprenticeships, green technologies and wages, including increasing the minimum wage to £8 an hour.
