Dacorum Borough Council is seeking views on their new development plan to build 60 new homes on Green Belt land located on Chesham Road and Molyneaux Avenue in Bovingdon.

The Site Allocations document builds on the Core Strategy - the planning blueprint for Dacorum Borough up to 2031 - which was adopted last September.

The document which is being consulted also includes plans to build homes in Berkhamsted, Tring and three areas in Hemel Hempstead.

Councillor Andrew Williams, leader of the council, said: "We have had to make difficult decisions over how we accommodate the needs of our growing population, particularly regarding the level of new homes, and have reluctantly released some allocated Green Belt land to support this.

"We need your views on our plans to make sure that our communities can continue to influence the responsible development of the borough and plan for a Dacorum that we can all be proud of."

A public exhibition which will provide more information about the site allocations and Local Allocation master plans will be held on Monday, October 13 at Bovingdon Football Club, Green Lane from 2 to 8pm.

Copies of the pre-submission Site Allocations document, the master plans, comments forms and background information are also available online at www.dacorum.gov.uk

The deadline for the council to receive comments is Wednesday, November 5.
