Staff at a Watford store have raised £1,500 for charity Barnardo’s by completing the 50km Thames Path Challenge.
Six partners from John Lewis completed the walk on Saturday, September 13, to raise money for the charity, which the department is supporting to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Pearl Robson, community liaison co-ordinator who organised and took part in the challenge, said: "When I hit a mental wall at 45Km I did wonder why I was walking - most of my limbs were aching.
"But to help raise money for Barnardo's which supports children was what kept me going.
"Six partners from John Lewis Watford all gave up a day - starting at 4.30am - to walk ten hours for the charity, that makes me feel it was all worth while."
