Members of the Muslim community in Watford strengthened their long term support for Peace Hospice Care by handing  over a £2,000 cheque this week.

The Watford Mosques & Welfare Association for the Muslim Community donation included an English copy of the Quran which will be available for patients and families who use the Quiet Room area at Peace Hospice in Rickmansworth Road

Peace Hospice Care Corporate Fundraising Manager, Vicky Luk, received the cheque and said: "We appreciate the support and long term relationship from the Watford Mosques & Welfare Association for the Muslim Community and their gift of the Quran. These kind donations undoubtedly help support our patients and their families and we value this support from our immediate community."

Specific requests relating to religion, culture and spirituality are embraced by Peace Hospice Care which recognises that during times of illness and stress spiritual care can help restore a sense of balance and peace.
