New fitness machines will be unveiled at William Penn Leisure Centre in early December.
The new cardiovascular fitness equipment, which was paid for by Three Rivers District Council, will be rolled out on Wednesday, December 3.
As part of the upgrade plans, the gym will be given a makeover and a new layout.
Scott Beattie, centre manager, said: "We are delighted to be giving members an early Christmas present this December of new cardiovascular machines and a refurbished gym.
"We think members will love the new state of the art machines and the ability to stay connected to people they know, or listen to their own play lists while they work out."
