Champagne was on ice as the oldest business in Rickmansworth celebrated its 65th anniversary last weekend.
F.L.Dickins, in the High Street, celebrated its anniversary by holding a champagne, sparkling wine and vintage champagne tasting session on Saturday, October 4.
The event was held between 10am and 4pm and the owner told the Watford Observer that the shop was full throughout the day.
Karen Dickins said: "The tasting session went really well. We sold out of a couple items, but they will be back in stock shortly.
"We were very pleased with how it went, there were lots of new faces and regulars there.
"I would just like to thank all our loyal customers and here is to the next 65 years."
The business, which was opened by Frank Dickins in 1949, started off as a grocer, but shifted to specialising in wine during the 1960s under the stewardship of Roger Dickins.
The shop is currently run by Karen Dickins, Betty Dickins and Alison Love.
