Residents at a care home in Abbots Langley were delighted to welcome Crawford & Company UK when they offered to carry out works in their garden and patio areas.

Teams organised by the company, which provides expert surverying and adjusting services, decided to lend a hand at Margaret House care home in Parsonage Close.

They approached the Quantum Care home as part of their Crawford Global Day of Service, a global initiative, where they dedicate one day to serving their communities.

On this day, employees from around the world organize volunteer projects in their local communities and work together as a team to enhance their local areas.

Employees from Crawford teamed up with Crawford's partner repair contractors, operatives from Harcross Specialist Contractors and Garrard Building & Construction Ltd, to spend the day making improvements throughout the gardens.

They decorated railings, garden posts and sheds and re-painted garden benches with materials supplied by Brewers of Stevenage. They also tidied up and re-planted slower pots with plants supplied by MWA Aboriculturalists.

Coni Anang, home manager, said: "I would like to thank the whole team. they have done such a brilliant job. The garden will make such a difference to our residents, who will be able to go outside and really enjoy their beautiful patio and garden areas.

"A massive thank you to Crawford from all at Margaret House and from all at Quantum Care for making this possible. Thanks also go to Harcross, Garrard and MWA for supporting this fantastic project."
