West Hertfordshire could be hit by gale force winds and heavy rain as the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo are expected to hit the UK tonight.
Gusts of up to 50mph have been predicted by the Met Office, which has issued a weather warning this afternoon - advising the public to be aware of the potential for disruption to travel and possible damage to trees.
The strongest winds are expected tomorrow.
The chief forecaster at the Met Office said difficult driving conditions will result, potentially exacerbated by surface water and spray in places.
