A men’s health and fitness programme has made it through to the finals of a prestigious national competition.

The ManAlive fitness programme, based in Radlett, has been announced as a finalist in the Best Sports, Health & Fitness Group category of the What's On 4 Award programme.

Now in its 8th year, the awards programme aims to celebrate the best activities from across the UK, for both children and adults, as nominated and voted for by the public.

ManAlive, designed specifically to help men aged 30 and over shed the pounds and build up their strength, regularly trains members at the Tabard Rugby Club, in Cobden Hill and owner Craig O’Toole, from Kings Langley, said the group were delighted with the news.

He added: "We’re absolutely delighted to have been nominated and voted for in such huge numbers. ManAlive has only just celebrated its first anniversary but we have had an amazing response to the programme and this is definitely the cherry on top of the cake.

"However none of this would have happened without the amazing members and awesome coaches. We are really looking forwards to the awards and I feel honoured to be in such great company."

Mr O’Toole will head to a glittering ceremony in Earls Court next month to find out if they can top the tables for the programme’s dedication to healthy living and fitness.

What's On 4 Me owner Marilyn Bradshaw said: "Every Finalist should be extremely proud that the UK public are so keen to vote for them and reward them with a National Award.

"We can't wait to see the Winners joining us on Stage at Earls Court to receive their Award and have the national recognition that they truly deserve"

The winners will be announced at the ceremony on November 20 at Earls Court, London.
