Objections over plans for a kebab shop will be raised at a licensing meeting next week.

Hertsmere Borough Council’s licensing sub-committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss objections raised over plans for a kebab shop to begin selling alcohol.

Best Kebab, in Battlers Green Drive, Radlett, applied to the council to allow the sale of alcohol on the premises, from 12 to 11pm from Monday to Saturday and from 12 to 10.30pm on Sundays.

During the consultation period, five representations were received including a petition and three letters from residents.

The planning authority has recommended that objections be raised regarding the plans, on the basis that proposals would cause late night noise and disturbance to nearby homes.
