Watford Community Housing Trust is hosting a lunch event in a bid to encourage residents to form a new community group in Harebreaks.
The Harebreaks Asian Lunch will be taking place on October from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Harebreaks Community Hub.
The trust works with voluntary community associations throughout Watford and Three Rivers and hopes this event will bring residents together, paving the way for a new residents’ association.
“By meeting up with your neighbours every few weeks to talk through local issues you can achieve great things,” said Jackie Tyrrell, community development officer at the trust.
“It’s also a great way of restoring civic pride to an area and generating a real sense of community spirit.”
The trust will be supplying Asian snacks for the event and encourages visitors to bring and share their own food.
