A group of Croxley Green residents rocked together to raise money for Harefield Hospital.

More than 100 people attended the Croxley Shambles event at the British Legion Hall, Watford Road.

The annual event, held on Saturday, October 4, raised more than £1,100.

Sixteen residents from the Goynes and McDermott families and residents from Hastings Way joined together in three bands: The Houricans, A Cat Called Dave and Basshoppers and performed in front of a sell out crowd.

Mike McDermott, who organised the event said "This is the third concert we have put on under the banner, ‘The Croxley Shambles’.

"Many of the band members have either lost loved ones or been affected themselves by serious illness and this is one way of playing our part to support the wonderful teams caring for sick people in our hospitals.

"Many people who attended asked when the next one was and the next date will be fixed soon."

The annual event chooses a different charity each year.
