The work of the talking newspaper has been praised by Hertsmere Borough Council Mayor Carey Keates during the charity's annual meeting.
Volunteers and guests gathered at St John’s Church Hall, in Radlett, for the AGM of the Radlett, Elstree, Borehamwood and Shenley Talking Newspaper.
Chairman David Clout gave a brief outline of how the talking newspaper works; explaining that recordings are made from newspapers and magazines, such as the Borehamwood Times and Watford Observer, and sent to listeners on USB memory sticks.
After hearing about the work by the 60 volunteers, Hertsmere Mayor Carey Keates congratulated the team and thanked them on behalf of the community.
