Last night's Apprentice was certainly a shocker with Lord Sugar firing not one, not two, but three candidates.

And one of them was Aldenham's Ella Jade Bitton.

Lord Sugar nominated Ms Bitton to be project manager of the task this week, which involved creating, uploading and sharing a video online in the hope that it would go viral.

The 23-year-old was chosen primarily because of her business plan - to start a TV production company - so you would think this task would be right up her street. So what went wrong?

Let's start with the concept. Fat Daddy's Fitness Hell - honestly not the best idea, but they could have made it work, if they had actually carried out what they had set out to do and made it funny.

Instead we ended up laughing at poor old Felipe rather than with him.

Then there's her leadership. On the whole Ms Bitton wasn't a terrible project manager, she was quite direct with how she wanted to carry out this task, there was a clear vision at the beginning and she dedicated key tasks to her team.

But then there were times when she lost control, became indecisive and unsure of herself. For example when it came to directing the first scenes, it seemed as though Ms Bitton was not sure of exactly what she wanted.

Pamela here questioned whether Ms Bitton had sufficient amount of knowledge of this industry, an industry she is hoping to go into, and she was probably right to. The original plan all seemed to fall apart.

But failing this task was not entirely down to her. She had clearly deligated tasks to each member of the team, as any good teamleader should.

Sarah was in charge of time keeping, which she failed to do. It was also apparent at times that Ms Bitton was a bit hesistant to give her an 'important' task, and judging by what she had done so far, it's not surprising.

In the end, as Ms Bitton put it herself, business is all about taking risks, this was risk, unfortunately one that did not pay off.

Despite all of this, this Aldenham girl was not going to leave The Apprentice without a fight. She stood her ground in the boardroom against both Steven and Sarah, two quite loud and fiesty individuals.

And when she was left in the boardroom by herself, she probably thought 'phew', like many of us, so it must have been a shock when Lord Sugar pointed the finger at her too.
