"Billy", believed to be the oldest canary in Oxhey, died on Monday at the age of 16.
He belonged to Mrs FW, of Gleneagles Close. During his long life, “Billy” had survived a bombing at Barnes and the exodus to Oxhey. He had not sung a note for eight years.
