Police continue to search for a missing woman, whose family “desperately” want her home after she was last seen on Thursday.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing Katherine Franklin, also known as Katherine Flower, from Dorney.

It is believed she might be in the Wooburn Common area.

Katherine was last seen in Lake End Road, Dorney, at about 8pm on Thursday.

Katherine is 36 years old, white, between 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins, with shoulder-length wavy strawberry blonde-coloured hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket, jeans and dark blue wellington boots. All of the clothes were stained with mud.

Officers and volunteer search teams were searching the area of Wooburn Common for Katherine today and would like anyone who sees a woman matching her description to report it.

Katherine has links to Bracknell, Maidenhead and Windsor.

Detective Inspector Dominic Williamson, leading the search, said: “Katherine’s family remain extremely concerned for her welfare and desperately want her to come home.

“We are concerned for Katherine’s welfare due to her state of mind when she went missing.

“Temperatures at night are low and Katherine has been missing for nearly 48 hours so we are becoming increasingly worried about her.

“There have been no sightings of her and I would like to ask members of the public, particularly in the Wooburn Common area, to report anyone matching Katherine’s description to police as soon as you can.

“If Katherine is reading this, please get in touch with your family or police so we know you are safe.”

Anyone with any information regarding Katherine’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 quoting reference 235 of 07/11.
