A Macmillan coffee morning held at the mosque in north Watford "went fantastically well".
Residents, representatives from Watford churches, the police, residents associations and womens groups came together over a cuppa at the mosque in North Western Avenue.
Ward councillor Asif Khan said: "It went fantastically well. It is a great way to strengthen the bonds between us all.
"We raised more than £120 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Many of those attended was their first time in a mosque and they thoroughly enjoyed the event."
