An adult care charity in Kings Langley celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday by throwing a party for everyone involved in its work.

Life Opportunities Trust was set up from scratch by former chairman Jane Reynolds, who officially stepped down from her duties and became lifetime president at the event which was held at the Jimmy MacDonald Centre in Hatfield.

More than 100 people from all of their homes across the home counties and Middlesex attended the event. 

The registered charity provide residential and home care support for adults with disabilities and those suffering from dementia. Their aim is to fully support their users so they can live as independently as possible. 

Ralph Verlander, chief executive, said: "It was a fantastic afternoon, the DJ and live singer were great so there was lots of dancing and the food was excellent.

"Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and we were pleased to welcome representatives from the county council, former trustees and others who have supported us over the years."
