Police investigating the stabbing of teenager Aqeel Khan have relaunched a witness appeal three months after his tragic death.
The 18-year-old was found injured in Croxley View at 4.30pm on August 22. The former West Herts College student was rushed to Watford General Hospital where he later died.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has today relaunched its witness appeal into the fatal stabbing.
Officers want to speak to a woman who allegedly had to move out of the way of a group of teenagers who ran by her near the doctors’ surgery at about the same time Aqeel was discovered.
She is described as white, with dark brown hair in a high ponytail, wearing a long dark coloured cardigan or jumper, blue jeans and black shoes, believed to be strappy sandals.
Police would also like to trace the drivers of two cars which allegedly had to swerve out of the way when a teenage boy crossed Tolpits Road into Croxley View at about 4.30pm.
Detective Constable Hayley Lett, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: "I would urge anyone with any information in relation to this incident who hasn’t already come forward to contact us via the non-emergency number 101.
"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, in confidence on 0800 555 111."
• A 16-year-old boy from Watford, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on December 9.
