Staff and traders at New Watford Market will be supporting a shop local initiative this Christmas with a day of events within the market.
Now in its second year, Shop Local Saturday is a UK wide campaign to encourage people to support their local independent shops on Saturday, December 6.
As well as an opportunity for a free family photo in the market's photobooth when spending £1 between 11am and 2pm, shoppers will also be able to enjoy a performance by Manna Community Gospel Choir between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. The choir will also have a stall to let you know how you can get involved or other community activities.
Shoppers can also show their support by sharing their purchases on social media @watfordmarket or taking a selfie in front of the poster using #shoplocalsaturday. The market's favourite #shoplocalsaturday pictures will be rewarded with free entry for six people to Oceana nightclub.
