For the next few weeks a community led arts project in Abbots Langley will be running a trial film season to evaluate the potential for a more permanent arrangement.

The Henderson Hub, based in the Henderson Memorial Hall will be showing three films in the coming weeks.

These include Belle on December 2, at 7.45pm, Philomena on December 7, at 3.45pm and Frozen (sing along version) on December 13, at 10.15am.

The Henderson Hub Company are currently in negotiation of a lease with the Henderson Hall Trustees, but they plan to create the facility for nearby residents to enjoy a range of activities from visiting drama companies to art exhibitions. The trial film season is the first step to show the public what the hub can offer.

Wendy Ash, a member of the management group, said: "We've had amateur dramatic socieities use the hub but we've never had film. Film was something new we thought we could bring to the community and we certainly hope this can be a permanent thing once the lease is agreed on.

"We want to give people somewhere they can watch recent film releases, in a place which is convenient for them to get to."
