A woman has been taken to hospital after being freed from a car after a collision in South Oxhey.

Hertfordshire Constabulary, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue and the East of England Ambulance Service were called just after 11.10am when two cars collided in Little Oxhey Lane.

Ambulance crews took a woman in her 40s to Watford General Hospital after firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the woman from her vehicle.

Adam Gretton, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "She was suffering from back pain but it was not life threatening or life changing."

Little Oxhey Lane has now been re-opened.
