More than £1,700 was raised for a children's charity at a Christmas Market on Saturday.

St Margaret's School in Merry Hill Road, Bushey, hosted its annual festive event to raise money for KidsCo.

More than 300 adults turned up on the day and there were even more children there.

Chairman of St Margaret's Parents' Association, Connections, Koli Pickersgill said: "We are lucky to be a group of parents whose daughters are privileged to go to a wonderful school like St Margaret’s.

"Learning what KidsCo do for distressed and traumatised children and their families, especially at Christmas was very poignant and there was great enthusiasm to go all out for this fundraising event.

"Seeing children in awe of their visit to Father Christmas, eating all manners of naughty treats and enjoying all the various activities makes it a worthwhile event each and every year.

"The icing on the cake for the Connections organising committee is knowing that all the many weeks of hard work paid off raising lots of money for both the school and the charity."
